Fuel Filler Pipe Problems

Another toyota/lexus issue arising? This should be reported. As far as I can see it's not an easily accessible area to inspect. I have seen some reports from RX owners with this issue.

Yeah, noticed that in the other thread (CLICKY)

I've tackled it on my project car but I'll have a scan around the RX over the weekend hopefully just in case it's inherent in the gen 1's too.

They don't make em like they used to!

Noted on the other thread of a £600 bill - is this about standard for the work?

Am looking at a 450 that has an advisory two years ago for filler pipes corroded... and would use this as a bargaining point should the car be otherwise the right one for me... just want to know how much to bargain!

Hi Meeja,

Sorry for the late reply I have been in Ireland on a motorcycle trip. Yes the final cost was £650 due to the breather pipe needed replacement.

Hope you get a good deal.
