Just checked the service book it appears the 200t motor requires a spark plug change at 40k miles rather than 60k on most Lexus models as it's not iridium type. This explains why the pricing is the other way around.

Ah would make sense then.

The servicing price for Lexus  is truly shocking when you look at what actually gets done. It's even worse when you look at what is actually changed. Apart from the oil and filter everything else is just a visual check. Air filter and pollen filter is very rarely changed so how can the second service be £460 when I asked I was told they 'inspect' more items 😄

I think if people actually knew what was done for these prices they would be horrified

My service documents say the air filter and pollen filter are changed but they're RRG group specific documents

I think the service on the Lexus website is the minimum that gets done.

No different from that offered by Mercedes-Benz. 90% is visual inspection.

Can't say I'm horrified, all part and parcel of 'luxury' car ownership..

Official servicing essential for maintaining warranty in the initial 3 year period or any Lexus extended warranty leaves you paying top dollar but have a good ring round dealers within a reasonable distance for 2/3 year servicing plans, managed to get 20% off doing this.

I've heard of 10% discount but 20% would be great, mind sharing which dealer that was. I assume you could buy from any dealer and take the car in to any Lexus dealer.

Lexus Woodford, other dealers around London offering 5-10% if anything at all. Unfortunately you have to stick with that dealer for the servicing as they're all franchises and the service plan is funded through their chosen finance partner etc.

Cheers, thanks for that, my closet would be Hatfield or Milton Keynes, I'll ring them to see what discount I can get, if any.
