On Friday I bought my first Lexus a RX400h. in the UK and have driven it home to the  South West of France, 600 miles. I drove from Crawley to Dover them a ferry to Calais. I averaged 32 miles to the gallon travelling at speeds up to 85 miles an hour which is allowed on French motorways. It was a fault free very pleasurable drive which took with stops around 9 hours. 

I am very happy with the car.

How do you get on in France with RHD car?

No Problem for me as I have lived here for a number of years and have had right hand drive cars for 9 years now. I do have a left hand drive Ford but that is for local runs. I will get the Lexus registered here within the next month. The problem I had was getting it insured so I could bring it over. No British insurance company was interested. I have French insurance now, 405 euros which includes fully comprehensive and breakdown cover.
