No, they're like DFS, there's always a sale on.

And on the one day there isn't a sale on just phone up and they'll give you a discount code.

@Big Rat I hope they are genuine Brembo parts. Wouldn't be the first time ECP have sold copies masquerading as genuine ...

@NemesisUK How right you are matey I've reserved them today while I'm up in Chester with friends, the eurocarparts northern supply depot is near our Hotel, I'm going over in the morning with a knowledgeable friend to see.

Its amazing these companies still do this stuff, still I suppose business is business my boy 😏

Its why I don't do mail order for this kind of stuff as well.

Big Rat, if they do turn out to be copies I wouldn't hesitate to recommend MTEC offerings.

Been to look at them with my mate Paddy he's an automotive engineer specialised in braking and suspension systems over many years. He's probably forgotten more than I'll ever know about these matters, and even his cursory look at them the pad compounds are very different from  the standard ones this of course may be a good or a bad thing !

He felt the compound was less metallic and possibly softer, the originals are legendary for the dust but they work very well and last.

The bells don't look the best quality in surface finishing nor did the rears of the discs.

Suffice to say I've passed on these I'm not desperate for them at the moment so I shall keep looking and may take the route of others on here with alternatives.

Did Paddy rate them as genuine, just not to Lexus original quality? Or were they, erm, copies?

@NemesisUK He was of the opinion that they were just not up to the Lexus original quality by a fair  way, for me I know the Lexus prices are high for supply and fit of these items but I've not heard anybody say a bad thing performance wise about them apart from cost and dust.

Now obviously they are an important feature of any car goes without say, but mine is original brakes all round including pads after eight years and 42K which I think speaks volumes it's just a shame Mr Lexus wants sooooo much for them.

Have you tried the Toyota dealers on eBay?

I doubt the parts would actually be listed, being quite a rare model, but might be worth a phone call.

I've bought a few Lexus service parts from them, filters and antifreeze, for example, and made a bit of a saving.

I used Lexus Birmingham, but there are a few more on eBay, I believe.

Edited to add:-

Also Toyota official store HERE

Lexus Birmingham

Has anyone experienced any issues with Brembo disc bought from ECP after fitting? I've got a set that I bought that I've not fitted yet...

No issues with my discs yet, I got ebc pads though, which I've been impressed with.

last year i paid lexus to supply and fit new pads and discs at the front. I forget how much but it was alot. However, like tyres i didn't want to skimp on such an important item.

we have to remember these are sixty grand cars and have 400odd horsepower. they may now cost less than 20k, but they ain't cheap to run.

@lotusdave I agree with you, I have as the post states at the start I took a very knowledgeable  friend and he advised against the euro route.

Im going to need front discs and pads soon so I will be going the Lexus route it's not cheap but I've the time and the inclination to keep playing one of against the other to get what I consider the right deal.

The OEM set is IMO very good.

I did this when the plugs needed changing, another costly job if you pay the full asking price, got it done for £180.80 in the end supply and fit the original asking price was over £ 300.00.

So savings can be made no matter what the dealers say initially.

@Flytvr Ah yes forgot to mention, put the spare set of wheels in the van and off to a local place to me, where I'd ordered OEM Bridgestones supplied and fitted on all four, and also picked up 4 Michelin winter tyres in the wrappers to go on the other set in October, All in price £1016.00 absolute bargain 😁
