Well I finally did it. Sold the LS430 at the weekend after 2 years happy trouble free motoring.

Now to plan my next purchase

I've got to say that I was so impressed with the LS430 that I am still considering another Lexus....maybe something a little smaller like a GS450h ?

Other options are all hot hatch variety

Renault Megan 265 sport

Golf GTi

But like ome owners on here ...i may come back to the LS

Farewell for now

Cube is a bit too left field for me. Can't help looking at them as they are strangely hypnotic but can't brink myself to buy one.

Variety is the spice of life but sometimes after trying that spice you end up with what you know

Cube Kaizen? I just reluctantly decided against this (Autotrader) only cos (it being a 'Marmite' car) my wife hates them!

"You? Who likes DSs, CXs etc.; what do you see in THAT?" etc.!

I like the shape ......... except I do not like asymmetric styling.

I used to like the CX's but such a low engine & bodywork life, no longer cars for serious use though, a nice novelty ride sometimes to 'make them last longer', especially the 'Palas'.

How about a Toyota Century?  If you want more bling than the LS, the Century could possibly provide it.  However it is not small......

Wouldn't mind the new one in a few years.

I'd never heard of a Century before, what a fantastic thing! What did the v12 come out of? I can't recall any Toyotas with a v12.

I recall that the Toyota's v12 was a one off and exclusive to the JDM limo.

Wasn't it even the only Japanese v12 ever made?

I did think about the century but just the thought of looking for import parts and mechanics not wanting to touch it scared me off.

If my mum gave me more pocket money I'd buy a century, what a head turner that would be.  Not sure I'd look good wearing a cravat though, because I think it would be compulsory to wear one driving a car like that.

The Century sounds like a great car, so it is a shame it is JDM only.

Smooth, unstressed V12 would be so nice to drive around.  I also love the idea of a wool interior. I wonder why wool isn't available on any other car?  It sounds very comfy to me.

I agree a flat cap and pipe would be required though
