Goodbye IS-F

Looks stunning, love it.

Does it feel any quicker than the isf? I've seen a video of the stock ISF RCF and GSF side by side and the GSF pulls away from them.

Funny you should say that @mike m as I was out at weekend with a couple of mates one has an IS-F and we tried a couple 0f 50-80 mph roll ons..........and he pulled away from me both times!!!! now I don't know if I had selected the wrong gear or my reactions were too slow, I just don't know but that's what happened.

The GS-F actually feels faster at the top end of the rev range say from 5000 rpm onwards although I am not convinced that is the case.

One area it does seem a lot better is handling, because you have more scope to alter the settings on the car with Sport and Sport+ and the different TV-D settings then its no surprise really, its just progress.

Very nice! its the Top Gear & Grand Tour GS-F - atleast when you come to sell it you can say JC sat in it!

Did you P/X the IS-F?

Son is dreaming about an IS-F but its unlucky that they won't insure him!

Yes the IS-F went in p/x

Not sure having Jeremy Clarkson as a previous owner (he went on to keep the car for 7 months after he tested it) is an advantage or not!!

I was following @Mark G around certain roads in North Wales and certainly at higher revs in gear times for the Gsf the car was quicker, both of us are believed by some to know one or two things about driving so I think are opinions can ce accepted as valid lower down the range and actual handling my belief is there was very little in it.

The weather at times was appalling but to the credit of these cars making safe progress was uneventful apart from brief instances some of us had with aqua planning which for those of us who can remember pre decimalisation that’s a bottom that  alternates between sixpence and halfcrown 😂

I used to own a mkii rev4 MR2 T Bar, I know all about aqua planing without the pre decimalisation memories

Had to clean the seat after hitting mud one night.

I'd suggest that you keep the warranty topped up after 3 years, Lexus Chester had the Top Gear IS-F in a few years back and were replacing a "whole lot of bits" under warranty for the new owner
