Just spotted this article

Good to see this, the ISF deserves more good press, it seems to pass most people by, as said in the article, I suppose it is a double edged thing, we like the stealth approach of the car at times, however, well in my case anyway, I enjoy talking to people about the car, so it can be a victim of its own success so articles like this can only raise awareness of this model, in my opinion this can only be a good thing as it will help residuals eventually.

When ever i read a article about ISF with postive comments it puts a smile on my face.. just beacase i have the thought of "i told you so".

This car was very under rated back then.. slated for the exhaust, slated for a 8 speed box, slated for the fake air intakes.. but guess what, it looks like the japs set the expectaions back then and only they knew why. . . and those who own this beauty know why.

And just look at all those German manufacturers switching to 8speed plus autos now M3M4 for example, just like someone @Mark G mentioned earlier these motoring journo’s and key board warriors just talk a load of gentleman’s vegetables at times 😉

It makes a nice read. Very good spot. I didn't realise that so many had been sold in the US.

I think they are as rare in the US as they are here Jon, I have been over there for the last few years covering over 2000 miles each time and I have never seen one.

Hi Mark,

There are a lot more in the States, believe me! :wink3:

Not as noticeable because unlike here they have loads of states/space to hide them away! California for example has more IS-F's than the UK, and possibly Europe I reckon!

Certainly a lot more than we have here.

Must have been unlucky on your visits, seen at least one every time I've been to California this year!

Yes Pete, I know most of them went to the US and then Australia, what I am saying is taking the size of the US into consideration and as a whole they are as rare there as they are here, I am not surprised you see them in California, try Idaho, Oregon or Utah, nothing ....................
