The celeb bit has to go. I’ve skipped every single one.

If they had pro-drivers doing laps round a proper track, then I’d be interested.

I hope that amazon are able to tell when people skip passed the celeb part. Then they will understand that nobody is interested and get rid of it.

I worked on a VOD (video on demand system) for several years. It's amazing how much information is gathered. We'd know when play, pause, resume etc was pressed - down to the milli-second, so I'd be very surprised if amazon don't have this information AND MORE.

So youporn know I stop watching at 1:30 every time? That's annoying.

1:30?  Surely you can disappoint a woman faster than that?

We know ALL of your favourite bits.

Just checked you account and recent searches. It came back with

”WREN ******* engineer in cockpit”

Not sure what that means....

I don't have the facility to receive it.

I stopped watching those muppets on TG many years ago.

This thread doesn't give me the impression that I'm missing something.

Like with most thing, you have to like that sort of thing to start with to appreciate it fully.

I can certainly see why, if you didn't like Clarkson, Hammond and May then it would be annoying.

It is a bit hit and miss at the moment, but I can imagine it is pretty difficult coming up with fresh and interesting segments after all this time.

I stopped watching many years ago when it became an entertainment programme with a central theme of cars aimed at readers of The Sun.

I really enjoyed TG when it was about cars, William Woollard era I guess .

William Woollard, now that takes me back.  Oops, showing our age now.

Although I do think you are being unfair comparing their viewers to Sun readers.  Low blow!

Yes, of a certain age !

Sensation for sensation sake epitomises Sun and Star journalism.  Some of the mindless TG escapades fall into that category in my opinion.  Maybe a bit unfair with my broadbrush approach.

Yeah, I am not a fan of some of the more 'slapstick' jokes they do.  For example, on this weeks show, Hammond destroyed an expresso cup with a hammer for a cheap laugh that wasn't funny.

However, some of the ribbing of Hammond after his crash and of Clarkson's pneumonia was quite funny.

Still, as long as we are not talking Daily Mail levels of silliness then there is still hope at least.

My view is slightly different - you see Sun and Daily Mail portraits themselves as newspapers printing real news... Obviously, anyone who have any clue have realised long time ago that it is more of low level entertainment media, playing on various populist ideas and bordering on outright fake news. TG and GT on the other hand never pretended to be anything serious and you need to watch it as kind of entertainment programme.
