What material is it made from Mark?

Will it rust or brown and change colour with excessive heat ?

Will you be making a nice polished heat cover to replace the tatty ones found on curent IS's?

They are stainless Steve. I can't reveal what grade or thickness but it is the best available. Most manufacturers use very thin 304 which is cheap any nasty.

Stainless manifolds discoulour to blueish if the fuel mixture is lean, or to a sort of golden colour if everything is as G.O.D intended.

I don't know about the sheat shield. We'll probably do one if requested.

Mark,, is this manifold duel walled like the oem one (thats another story as to how i found that one out) , or is it a single wall..

actually first i should ask if the is200 manifold is dual walled like the is300..

whats the point of dual walls if you dont mind me asking mark..

No they are not dual walled. I don't know any aftermarket manifolds that are dual walled.

OEM manufacturers use duel walls to reduce NVH

mark can you pm me total costs incl. shipping to syd, au.

thanks

I'll post on here regarding price and availability when both are confirmed.

They won't be ready for a while because there is more r&d to finish yet.

Maybe have a word with Mr E @ Prolex if you need something sooner :)

The prolex-UK manifold will be available in 4/6 weeks.

It will look a bit different from this one which pays tribute to the R&D that Toyota invested into it.

Looks to me like its the same but with a bigger bore

Special deal for my austrailian friends :winky:

i am seriously considering an aftermarket manifold, but i would have to know the spec and thickness first! If u can give me the details that would be nice.

I guess you already know what the best stuff is but I'll be making an announcement close to the release. We are also working on a complimentary component that is super trick that we have hig expectations of

I'll take you up on that then mate, keep getting used to the speed of this one - looking forward to seeing what the car is like now, don't forget it will be slower with me in though as i'm equal to 2 normal size passengers :P

Would that combo be better than say just the uprated manifold and Hiper? Better torque, bhp or both? Thanks mate :)

This engine is very sensitive to exhaust design.

I am hopeful that the new stuff we are working on will be as good as it gets without going mad and costing too much :)
