Long shot...

Steves kit had a loom with relay etc didn't it ?

If this kit is the same but without the relay loom,

is it possible the cabling needs a polarity swap to compensate?

IE. the plug is effectively wired back to front ?

Ahem.. cough cough :whistling::whistling:

Go to the top of the class Mr G

BTW the PM......its too far for you to go thought Lowestoft was your place !

Where do i stand if the bulb has blown already as i have had about 12 hours use out of these and they should last a lot longer, and are less than 6 months old,and i had to throw away most of the kit(and my money) to make them work :whistling:

Mr E do you read the e-mails that get sent to the Prolex web-site :)

I read the ones that get redirected to me from the site.

If the bulbs gone I will arrange for a replacement(s) to be sent to you.

INCORRECT POLARITY.

CAR HARNESS HID BALLACE

WHITE/BLACK TO BLACK

RED TO BLUE

THE ABOVE IS CORRECT AND CAN BE EASILY CHANGED ION THE BALLACE INPUT HARNESS.

USE A SMALL PICK OR SCREWDRIVER TO RELEASE THE SMALL BLUE TABS BY THE METAL PINS WITHIN THE CONNECTOR, PULL OUT BOTH WIRES AND RE-INSERT IN THE CORRECT WAY ABOVE.

HID KIT DRAWS 10.9 AMPS ON INITIAL TURN ON FOR A SPLIT MILI SECOND THEN FALLS TO 6.5 AMPS INSTANTLY AND FALLS TO 3.5 AMPS THEREAFTER IN ABOUT 3 SECONDS.

PICTURES SHORTLY... SO COME BACK AND LOOK..

NO RELAY LOOM REQUIRED.

OK,

just spoken to the supplier.

He tasted tested even all the kits prior to dispatch so is surprised that they dont work.

Hhhmmm...well that blows that statement out the water then.? ;)

Chris i hope you get more than 12 hours use out of them.

Just changed the wires over on mine...took 5 minutes.

Pete---I've got more bulbs coming, will need yours to send back.

Don't forget you must not touch them at all with your pinkies

So does that make them illegal then?

What's so important about autolevelling, if say I'm in the car on my own most of the time can I set the autolevelling manually and is that sufficient?

And what happens if the police stop you?

I suggest you read the thread from the start as the legal issues are covered in some detail :whistling:

Dave my concern is that if they are blowing bulbs every 2-3 months, will prolex be replacing them forever(doubtful) as it seems that there might be a problem with the kit as they're s'posed to last a lot longer than that aren't they.?

Need to see how the others do....

They should not blow as the stuff is not cheap.....
