What does it mean?

Anybody know why the name "LEXUS" was brought about?

It was chosen by a Californian and is a combincation of the words "luxury" and "elegance".

Just had a quick look on the newsgroups and there's a parent there warning people not to call their daughters Lexus.

She wants to change her name because she gets called EX-LAX at school...

I was going to name my dog Lexus

I had a dog called NOVA just the same as the car "full of crap"

Its latin I think, and Lexus were nearly forced to scrap the name becasue of some other company called Lexas Data Storage (Something like that!)

They were taken to court and a Judge ruled it against Lexus, but a last attempt appeal saw the case over turned. Alexis, is another name considered by the boffins at Hq to.

And funny that a woman says don't name you're sprog Lexus as thats what one woman in the US did. Having being caught short on the way to the hospital the couple pulled into a Lexus showroom where she conceived in the back of one their cars. So she named her little girl - Lexus. The Following year, they threw a party for her first birthday. Must have been great publicity for them if nothing else!!

Conceived on the way to the hospital? Blimey! Not only is that a medical miracle, but if Lexus let you do *that* in the back of their showroom cars then that's what I call customer service.

Good job it wasn't a BMW showroom. Wouldn't fancy being christened "3Series"

The book "The Relentless Pursuit" said it was a combination of Luxury and Alexis. They almost didn't go through with it because of a lawsuit with the company Lexis.
