I dont feel so happy now! i thought this thread would be "tyre wear". The badly worn area denies any scale and retracts back to geom.. I think "we" need a "geom" health check meet, if only to remove that "badly worn" area! from this simple post?

Dont say things like that you scare me!.. go! and have a look at the rear tyres, make "sure" they are ok!......

I want to do a "free" geometry health check day @ STS Watford, lets say a geom meet so that anyone can get an insight of the cars geom condition! this will only involve Camber and Toe front and rear ( adjustable IS angles ) and will take about 10 min per car.. "explination" about 15min per car? thing is i think i can involve STS "big" time with support for LOC and offer you peace of mind "or not!". All i need is Scorpion as my "mentor". i think i should be asking him before i send this post?.. "now i'm for it"....oh well he will understand.

Rear tyres are knackered ,inside two inches completly bald booked in for new tyres on monday ,cars has always been twichy as well ,if i hit a manhole or a bump in the wet especialy the whole rear end feels like it moves sideways ,done this since new lexus said the size of the tyres causes it .i liken it to the feeling of when the void bushes used to go in older cars

No way would any car be made that would allow the back end to over steer and wear tyres so bad....Lexus are talking "pants" what tyre size and make do you have?

Been thinking of this for a while but didn't know if it would be possible or not(depending on how many actually turn up)...or how to approach you about it as its time consuming plus STS is a business and didn't want take up all the bays for LOC,thus turning away other motorists who want the same thing.

Let me know your thoughts.

I understand: when "my" involvement with LOC began i was on own within STS, no one had done what i had done. A member of their staff builds a web site and "slates" fast fit to the max, and i work within it? For me the facts within my site could have cost me my job ( 24 years ). The reality of WIM has grown within LOC, and STS has been watching my methodes, now they understand that "we" are in a "new" area between fast fit and the main dealer, and STS want to build on this new path.."But" i wont be pushed, it's my way or no way..

£must not be the motivation, this means that any work is "personal" i feel this is the way it should be..... sorry to go on, but thats it to date.

The "geometry" health check will be an opportunity for anyone who feels worried about the set-up, a basic image of the car and peace of mind, or not! the cost £0, but at least you know in advance things are wrong!!!

Scorpion you are my "mentor" for the members of LOC, i will need your support to guide "who" can and "who" can't have the geometry in regard to "body height".

The booking side will be a Saturday, LOC only 8 till 5.

whats the flaw with them tony? i understand that if ( like anything) there is an advantage in one area u will loose in the other, i have been happy with them as for me my main advantage is wear rate, im not and dont drive like a boy racer, most of my travel is on motorway/main roads anyway, so im not after anything that is soft, eg some of the pirelli tyres that only last about 20 -25k km. i was thinking about the bf goodrich g force profiler but found out it hasnt done too well in the tests and is fairly soft also. think i will go with the newer dunlop sport maxx

Id be up for this.

As for "Ride height" id say a max of -40mm with STD wheels will be o.k but it would need to be confirmed so if there is any member out there with this set up who can help Tony build a database it would be very useful,so when the date is confirmed plz come along.

The "flaw" is the pattern of wear, the issue is who is to blame.. the car manufacture blames the tyre manufacture, and the tyre blames the car! so little old me got pulled in the middle by NOC USA, the two papers i wrote was in defence of both, and damming of both, i can display the "highlights" here if you can tell me how to import an email, if not i can re-type it but due to injury with one hand only it will take me all day...
