And the Filter.... is it a K&N??

Yes, it's the K & N Typhoon Induction Kit.

There is defo a difference in response in acceleration ! :)

Jays-Performance and Fasterfilters are one and the same trader...

Group buys for any of you unpersuaded 300 pilots?

The benefits:

- 8.5bhp increase

- Roars like a tiger rather than a standard IS3 pussycat

- Easy to fit

- Cuts out all that flabby plastic air box stuff

- Lifetime guarantee

- Washable filter

- Ultimate Bling value

- P*nis envy under the bonnet

- Compete (arghrmmm) with all those R33's & R34's who have two of them.....

The downside:

- £185 of your beer money

- Do it, you know the Old Lady will give you hell..... :nuke:

C'mom Scorcher, New Bhoy, Gib and the rest of you sad IS3 jocks who just want to mod!

I got one off the same fella a few weeks back - just haven't managed to find the time to fit it yet

Or fit my TRD rear light covers, or my LED side lights, or my clear indicator bulbs - a new baby sure does take up every moment of spare time

You can't beat a nice K&N! I used to have one on my 1300cc Corolla, sounded lovely when I blipped the throttle!

And of course there's the lifespan.

Normal filter: 25,000 miles, chuck it out, buy another

K&N filter: 100,000 miles, take it out, clean it, oil it, refit it, do another 100,000 miles, and so on. Sweet!

Ahmet mate,

Hope you got your warning lights stuff sorted!

Sounds real good......almost as good as mine

Mike

Mate , we have figured.

You don't drive your car hard enough :D

If you floor it a good few times, all the excess oil will come off your filter and onto the sensor !

But yes, Mark cleared the codes for me .................. I did another 60 miles, and it came back on ! , bit like a bad smell ... keeps coming back ! lol..........

Nothing serious though, it's just that the sensor gets dirty with oil ! ;)

You may be right...but..... I had the K&N fitted back in late January, and never really gave her any serious hammer until recently. Had a few runs (strictly on private roads of course......ahemm at 150+).

Not a spot of crap on my MAF?
