annoying noise behind radio and air con

i have an annoying rattle behind the radio and air conditioner unit, i was wandering is there an article on the internet about it. does anyone else suffer from this problem.

the rattle and tingle noise is not louder the faster i go.

could be the barings on your air con motor or fan. have u tried listening for it with the fans off?

Actually Loz, the fan is behind the glove box - so it prolly isn't that.

Most likely to be a loose captive screw.

You can pop out the top vent (the one with the clock in) by prising it out carefully with a small screwdriver or knife.

You can also pull out the ashtray assembly - it just comes out with a good pull.

On my car, the radio/satnav unit then comes out with four 10mm bolts - can't be too different on a non-satnav car.

Did you try what I suggested?? - take out the top vent and ashtray and see what bolts you can see?

I thought I had a noise there, but it turned out to be the little box you put your sunglasses in at the top of the windscreen.
