18 Rims And Lowered Springs

Hi all, :) :) :)

This is my 1st post, hope i don't infringe any forum rules.

I have a 2002 GS300 and i have ordered 8x18inch offset 42 rims for it.

I am thinking of lowering the car as well but i also want to retain as much

comfort as well.

Questions -

1. Is the rim size and offset correct and must i insist on the centre bore to

be of the right size as well. ( what's the bore size )

2. I have read in the other threads about the 'Eibach' springs.

Are they just springs or do they come with shocks as well.

Otherwise can i use my existing shocks if they are in good condition ?

3. Whats the right tyre for the least noise. Was thinking Goodyear GSD3,

Goodyear Revspec or Michelin Pilot Preceda.

( Tyre size will be 245/40/18 )

Any feedback/input will be much appreciated.

Regards. :) :) :)

I have just fitted Eibachs on my MK1 and I can't really notice any difference in ride quality. This is with having 18" and 35 series tyres.

Can't help you with the other questions
