What About Regional Sections?

Hi peeps

Like the title says,i think regional sections would be helpfull as they could be used to introduce yourself to fellow members living in your area or to share local information on good places to get stuff for your car.

As a Newbie, speaking from personal experience i would like to know of any locals in this club so we could share local knowledge

I know it was suggested in another post but i hink it works on a local level, yes it might not be brimming with activity but if i wanted to get my windows tinted in the newcastle area i would check the local section to see if anyone has had this done and read the personal experience etc..

Or if there was a local meet on this is where i would check for posts...you get the idea

what do the powers that be think?

A suggestion for you - why not set up a mini-meet in the North East?

We do it regularly in the Midlands, we get a decent turnout and have a good crack into the bargain  :D

Cheers for the reply Mr Morse,I can't beleive there isn't a regular meet in the North East anyway,or have i missed the post :whistling:

Sounds like something to sort out.. :winky:

Anyway what do you think of the suggestion i made?

Personally I don't think that regional divisions are necessary, we don't live in a huge country and I think it's easy enough for people to get together anytime or place they want to. Just look at the Austrian guys who drove over 800 miles to come to JAE.

Meeting your fellow members can be done through local Mini-Meets and local products and services can be found either by making a search or through a post on one of the forums.

IMHO

Your point above is exactly why i think there should be regional sections..I haven't a clue who is in this club and are local to me.I don't want to travel 800 miles to meet people so a 'northEast' section etc..would be ideal to get to know fellow people from the region without creating a post somewhere entitled "do you live in the NorthEast?"

From previous experience; I found that regions are difficult since the SE is huge and swamps everything. I live at a point where the SE and SW meet but I live in the South. So now we have removed the regions since they came from the Govement trying to introduce regional assemblies and don't relate to anything.

Why don't you suggest a Pub meet and see who is interested you never know till you try...
