Have used something similar, but not @ 2000grit. There pretty good for smooth curve surfaces.

At that price i would try them!

I have 50 sheets of 2000 grit though, bought a box today

That's what I figured :D

Wrap the fabric around a sponge slice and lube it with plenty of soapy water. I just ordered 5 pieces from them, will report back soon!

I just tried these 2000 grit pads on the 19 year old MR2 paintwork - very simple to use, just lube the pad and the paint with a mixture of mild soapy water and it gets rid of all those deeper swirls and scratches and all the other gunk that sticks to your paintwork. It's like a more aggressive version of the clay bar and 3-4 passes North-South, East-West is all that is required.

It leaves a slightly dull finish behind, but incredibly smooth.

I then polished it up using a yellow Sonus pad, Sonus SFX-1 and with the polisher set at No.4 setting (high settings are not recommended for the yellow pad)

Just about knackered my back doing it and am still far from finished but the Red Witch is going to be looking soooooo sweet when her Mama gets back next Saturday! :P
