Help Desperately Needed

I have just fitted some 18 x 8 TTE GT1 alloys to the car; the wheel nuts however do not go all the way in as the hole arround the nut is too small(even with the washers off).

Please could someone let me know if special wheel nuts are required as I dont wanna drive and end up with the wheels coming off (especially with a pregnant wife in the car).

If these are different can I get em form Halfords or a toyota dealer?

sorry mate, i assumed you realised they needed different nuts, the reason they have no nuts, is becuse these wheels came from Toyota Belgium from one of the IS200;s

they were originally going to be spare wheels for the drift car, or the monster, but had no need for them now, as they wouldnt fit the Monster or the drift car due to the calipers

managed to get sorted today :)

however, contrary to the information I was given by the person selling the tte lowering springs, they rub on the front :(

please can anyone let me know how to resolve this i.e. put old ones back on?

I had a similar problem with my 8x18 Toora alloys. It is probably just the plastic arch liner that is rubbing at the front. What I did was heat up the plastic arch liner and just push it back slightly with a sponge. No problems now! :D :D

if you go to the TTE website TTE.DE and look at the wheels for the IS, and then click on the PN for the wheels it brings up the TUV certificate for the wheels and it clearly states in there that the arch liner/splashguard has to be modified/adjusted

i think u r using tires with sidewalls too wide. From the pics, it looks like 50s ..... is that correct?

For 18" wheels, I'd think u want max. 45 .... if not 40.... none of our club members in hk have 18" wheels using 45 btw .. .they all run 40.

That should immediately solve ur problem. Regarding "if its too low or not" ... i dont think its too low at all. With the right tires.. it should look ACE.
