Ect/pwr Warning Light Flashing

Hi, on a GS300 sport mk11 the ECT/PWR light is flashing wether it is on or off, but when it is warmed up after about 20 mins it stops flashing and stays off.

weve check the trans oil level and this is ok.

handbook says consult dealer.

just wondered if anyone had come across this before,

is it worth disconnecting the Battery to reset everything

I'd resey the ECU myself. Disconnect for 3/4 minutes :winky:

if you removed the power from the Battery you may find your key no longer starts the car, you'll need to pair the key to the cars security ecu again

put the key into the ignition and turn it to acc for five mins

then take it out

and it should be ok again

Had to do this with mine when the Battery got changed.

I would get a fault read out before touching the ECU.

disconnected Battery this morning, still got light flashing, car runs but no throttle response, any ideas

Fuse for power to the throttle possibly.

Also you got no fault codes for the original problem now

for starters you need to ask in the right section mate, this was for an MkII GS300 Sport.....

Sorry to bump a old thread, i have the same issue as johnboy in the first post with a gs300 sport (2000 model) - has any body else had the same problem and been able to sort it? i have pmed johnboy to see if he ever found out what was up.
