Tte S/c Group Buy?

Recommended Posts

some of the guys on the forum did it themselves, and they seemed pretty happy with it. I guess depending on ur location, you might be lucky to find a SC'd member near you ... and see if they're willing to assist in exchange for some beers.

In general, the folks say it can be done in 4-6hrs .... i recall someone did it in a public parking lot too!

Thank you for the offer mat. Pro-lex would the fitting be done at heavy discount since we are buying the superchargers off you? Dont mind buying the unit but have to figure in the cost of fitting that is the decisive thing.

The TTE s/c kit comes with 1yr warranty, I dont know how the warranty works, but if anything should go wrong with your s/c, will fitting it yourself have any affect on the warranty ?

credit avalible? :D

there is at TDi

FREE, then after 6 mths 29% :duh:

Serious 29% or just joking

yup  thats what it says on the tin

The way this deal works is this:

You can get 0% (interest free) "buy now - pay later" credit for a period of 6 months. TDi are the company able to offer this facility. You then have the following options:

1. Pay it off without paying any interest.

2. Transfer the loan to another cheap rate.

3. Pay the balance off over a period of up to 36 months at a rate which is normal for credit cards and most other unsecured loans. You can pay it off at any time without penalty. For example if you paid it off 1 week after the 6 months it would cost you only 0.55%.

We also have a very professional fitting centre with dyno etc in Warrington if that is of any interest.

I hope that helps :)

TDI offer the TTE s/c kit for £2200 as advertised on their site. Is this without VAT and postage, this the only thing i can think of??

Whats the point in the GB at £2400 from pro-lex if it is indeed £2200inc?

Can someone please clarify?

Our price for a one off purchase does not include vat but does include delivery, 0% finance and professional full time backup (if needed).

We have not determined a GB price yet because it doesn't look like there is sufficient interest yet. :)

Am VERY interested but cannot commit until March next year

As mentioned before am Very intrested but cannot commit until beginning of March next year, Do like the sound of 6 months intrest free.

Would like to know if disscount is available on fitting if it is a group buy ?

and is it still the black ECU that come with the kit? if so is discount available to upgrade to the silver ECU?

Paul at TDi North's fitting charge is very reasonable for a professional specialist establishment, but you never know, you may be able to twist his arm ;)

Give him a call on 01925 289100 and ask him please :)

Unless you specifically wanted the silver TTE ecu, it may be worth while considering the HKS alternative to the black TTE ecu as it is a fraction of the cost and completely reliable (never seen one fail in the 17 years they have been available).

On the subject of piggybacks if you put in a HKS fcon or APEXi s-afc2 would that negate the need for a piggyback ecu?

Still need the piggyback ECU - the HKS / Greddy / Apexi are AF controllers

i meant the one that does the whole works not just the airflow my mistake with the names

The HKS FCON has a built in FCD so you won't need a separate TTE or HKS FCD.

The Apexi SAFC and Greddy alternatives are basic fuel controllers which I don't think have an FCD feature.

Now guys i am lost with all this ecu business??

I take it a 'piggyback ecu' is needed to run the s/c correctly?

Can someone please shed some light on the subject. I have read through the posts that this black tte ecu had some bother as far as i am LED to believe (is this the one that comes with the kit?) and a silver tte ecu replacement is needed. What is the difference and is it really required? (something to do with RPM limiter by any chance?)

Which is best to have out of all the choices that tdi mentions(HKS, APEXI etc? and the costs).

Just looking for a definitive answer and to know as much as possible on the entire s/c route. Dont want to be unaware of hidden costs involved as i hope you understand. :winky:
