Thanks Barrie, thats good to know.

@ Gord and Marcus, After reading about other peoples problems with the V-pro and certainly the starting issue, I too am begining to think the best and final solution would be to change it. I might give Pete at Thor a ring, see what prices they are doing.

Hi mate,

I did buy a HKS V-Pro for my V8 setup, but then i sold it on, i got put/off as i know of only 1 or 2 place's who can map it 1 being TDI and the 2nd one being some 500 miles away. so now when the time comes to have the ECU fitted im takeing it to Thor as well to have the Links-Plus ECU as i have talked to roger about it.

and from what i have been told, its alot better than the V-Pro .........go have a look on thor website Ad

Ah kick that V-Pro....

Adie,

get some Haltech E6 and squeeze the best outa your ride, :shifty:

there are more dealers outside who can tune them, rather than the HKS one.

AEM can't handle the IS200 coils (I heard at least) and it's more expensive

Adie mate, get your car up to Steve, let him look and sort it all out for you mate :winky:

The thought did actually cross my mind. But then so did driving it up north across those mountains, sputtering and cutting out. :crying:

We popped in to a pub on the right as you head to Maccyd's, I went there once with Gord and Wozza too once, and the bird that worked in there was the fittest I've ever seen to this day in England, my eyes were about popping out my head that day :D
