I read about this on the US forums. Since the GS gearbox adapts to your style of driving, here's a way to get it zippy again, in case you've been driving like a grandma and it's adapted accordingly! If you are stuck in slow moving traffic most of the time, the car probably adapts to that style of driving. See here http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread...hlight=efi+fuse

Remove ECU fuse for at least 1 minute from fusebox under bonnet. It's the 20A one, and inside the cover of the fusebox it tells you which fuse it is (or read through the Clublexus link). Lexus even kindly gives a fuse pulling device to make it easy! Some folks suggest doing this after you fill up with something like Optimax or Super Unleaded so that everything gets adjusted to the new octane rating..

Once you put back in and re-start engine, make sure you floor the gas immediately as you drive off. Helps set the car up for maximum acceleration.

I tried this today, and actually drove the car quite hard for 10 minutes or so after re-setting ECU. Car revs to red-line so much more freely and feels much more responsive.

I lost my radio stations, and I expect the memory seats were lost too. A small price to pay. Some folks do this every week on their GS, to keep the "acceleration characteristics".

Try it and let us know!!
