Oil Filter

This may sound like a dumb question . . . but where is the oil filter located on a 1990 LS 400. I looked all over the place, under the car, from under the hood but can't seem to find it. I drained all the oil and it's just sitting outside right now till i can figure out where the filter is so i can replace it. Can anyone help. Just a general local will help

I actually have same exact question on a 1995 ls400... my car too is sitting outside empty of oil with old filter on somewhere... if you have figured the answer to this question i would much appreciate.. if not.. i will try to reply again when i find it .. REES

try looking at the front of the engine below the manifold...

HI ALL

I've just done a oil change on my 1991 ls400 and the oil filter looking up from the underneath the engine is at the bottom on the n/s on my vehicle once you have removed the plastic engine shield
