Error Code P1121 - Could It Be To Do With Maf Sensor?

Recommended Posts

Hi

Recently had an engine light on the car.. car went into limp mode.

after taking it to lexus they diagnosed it with the

P1121 = Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor/Range Performance.

After looking about on the net I found the following

P1121 = Throttle Position (TP) Sensor Inconsistent With MAF Sensor High Voltage

I am wondering if the error is to do with the airflow and a dirty Maff Sensor and maybe a Dirty Throttle Body.

The car is in deperate need of a service.... I have recently bought the car and the air filter is very dirty. I have ordered a new one but would the chances of the filter being dirty actually causing the engine light to throw the P1121 Code?

Also what would you recommend for cleaning the throttle body??

Yep that suff is fine

For the TB go to Halfords or other auto parts supplier and get some carburettor cleaner.....or failing that, Mr Muscle Oven Cleaner!
