Rear Parking Sensors In Bumper

I saw an IS300 the other day and it had sensors suttely built into the bumper and this system be put on my IS200 sport?

I asked my local servicing place, Jemca, about this once for my Altezza. The original Lexus ones are black and there are two sensors if I remember correctly, but they also offered me a cheaper non-Lexus set of 4 sensors whcih were bumper coloured. These did everything dunctionally identical to the Lexus ones but were about £200 instead of £350.

You can get them fitted for the IS200 no problem though.

They will fit onto your IS very easily.

One of our members (Vince.com) has prepared this excellent workshop article which shows you stage by stage how to fit them to an IS (Vince has an IS300 Sportscross).

I seriously suggest you look into the group buy - £110 is an excellent price for this system

The sensors can be painted to match the bumber, looks much better than having the black Lexus one's!

The standard Lexus ones are four sensors and can be painted, but unless you get them factory fitted your best bet would be the Quanan ones, they are a superb piece of kit

Just an idea, but would it be possible to fit the display on a little hinge with double sided tape. This would allow it to be folded away when not in use (you only have to reverse now and again.........hopefully)

i put mine on the hinge in my arm rest box bit will try to find the picture for you

Best place for the display on an IS or GS is on the B-pillar, above the passenger's seat belt mounting.

That way it's within line of sight when looking round to reverse.
