How Do I Change A Number Plate Bulb

Sorry if it sounds like the first line to a cheesy joke,but I am stumped. I have tried from the outside by prising the lamp holder out but no luck. I was then told by a mechanic friend that I should be able to access it from inside the boot lid. I have removed the little "press stud" type clips and two small nuts either side of the boot lock cover but no luck still can't gain access. Looks like I need to remove the two bolts holding the boot lock in place which I don't fancy doing. Must be an easier way? Any assistance most welcome.

remove the boot lid cover and the connectors are just inside..

you were on the right track, there are 4 nuts, not 2 to undo .... then the bulb holder rail should pull off from outside

Thanks very much. i thought I saw 2 moe nuts,but did'nt want to touch them in case they held the lock together. i will have another go soon
