Just to add to this ...

Replaced (new) at Cost of £75

Seems the more cost effective option

£75 for a new one is a bargain i think, where did you get it from? For the repair kit lexus wants £72. at the moment I'm going for that as the kit includes both sides and sliding pin rubber etc.

this lithium grease is my problem,

Does anyone know what else can be used for Lithium soap base grease????
