1997 Gs - Rear Bumper Side Reflectors

Does anybody know how to access these reflectors? (usually covered by blanking plates on the UK models) They are secured with two bolts through the outer bumper skin, but there is not enough clearence to get at them - I must be doing something wrong! Any help and advice appreciated. Thanks.
