I got caught 20 mins late in a car park yesterday and got a £100 parking fine!

My hubby has signed up to a site where we will get £60 towards it if we get enough votes by midnight tonight.

Was it one of those private parking companies ? Was it just a notice on the windscreen that was designed to look like a fixed penalty notice ?

These fines are pretty much unenforceable, all they can legally force you to pay is the cost of your overstaying, e.g. a few pounds. Hopefully you didn't talk to them and admit guilt etc. Check out this thread
