Nurburgring 2009

Recommended Posts

much as I love the place its getting very expensive.

fuel to get there / hotels...........you really want a 4 lap ticket mounts up....

probably get 2 full track days over here for what you pay....

howver will still probably go !

A track day around a very small track @ RAF base is just not the same :o i can see why you like it mind ..... its cheap :P

think i've done more track days and trips to the ring than you old boy

hope to see you at the ring at the weekend as my car should be ready for wednesday

BTW its not a track day you refer to its a competition there are places available so you can always bring your lexus along to show me how its done.............

quick edit

1995 castle combe

1996 mallory park

1996 castle combe

2004 LOC brunters track day

2005 LOC brunters track day

2006 TRAX silverstone GP

2006 Nurburgring twice

2007 Brands hatch indy

2007 nurburgring

2007 Time attack sliverstone knockhill brands hatch

2007 Barkston Heath (with you where you came last)

2008 Time attack Donnington park knockhill silverstone brands hatch (with 3 wheels)

2008 Brands hatch indy

2008 nurburgring

2008 Toyota sprint series waterbeach/barkston heath/teeside/woodbridge

2008 barkston heath

2009 nurburgring (PAX)

2009 Toyota sprint series barkston heath

think the phrase is "put that in your pipe and smoke it" if you go once a year to the nurburging for 2 laps max then maybe its a cheap option.................if you do it more often at varying locations then hey ho

Nothing to say then Gord ????????????????????????

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm thought so

Well yes Dave i do, the only time i can last was what against ? your 420bhp aristo ? or all the other more powerful cars of the day, but i seem to remember doing rather well the last time in went to such a track day :whistling: big old German slug i think you once called it ? seem to remember getting much better times than your 370bhp lexus :whistling:

I did note, you not said you came last in the time attack series or anything else you may or may not have entered :whistling:

Nice to see you can respond....

tis a shame coming last but at least you tried................and your car was not the least powerful you were spanked by a 67 bhp Toyota Aygo but hey ho :whistling: think you had more than double the BHP

Regarding Time Attack..................At least I entered :whistling: ...in a road going car fully trimmed but again hey ho (may have ago next year in the Soarer and if last then will admit defeat)

Also was never last in TSS indeed 10th overall at Teesside i believe

Last event with your german barge was in the wet at barkston when 4wd does give a bit of a helping hand .......think you were 2,5 seconds faster which is not that much all in all..............however

Hope to see you this weekend...will give you a copy of the letter you keep texting me about :winky:

Ay my mate sent that to me today.

price is a bit steep. £49 would be a better price, £100 for the weekend.

I had a super time at the Nordschleife. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to talk to all of you guys and check out your cars in detail. Loved that Electric Orange ST and the lovely S200000000000... :shutit: . But I did get the occasion to meet up with Stav and his legendary TT. Man, what a sound! I thought my car was loud with the Blueflame. Couldn't hear it for a second when I drove behind you for the lap! Excellent! If only we could do such engine swaps in Belgium. (To compare: it took me 6 months to get my Eibach prokit approved here. :duh:)

Next time, I really MUST experience your drive from the inside of your car! :winky:

Have fun!

PS: Next meet on 16th of August?
