Had a similar problem. Lexus mechanic found a 1? vacuum hose that runs very close to the firewall and is clamped to the intake manifold. Look by the break fluid cup. Noticed more vibration in very cold weather. The mechanic mentioned that he had seen this problem on several other GS 300?s. Solution was to unclamp the hose and let it hang free.

Hope this helps

I hope that is the solution because I have the same problem on my 1999 GS 300. I took it to the dealer today, and they looked it over on the lift and told me it was just getting old and the tires were causing the noise. I have a newer set of the factory version, so what the hell? Anyway, post if this corrects your problem.
