Hi guys

My dome light, ignition ring and footwell LEDS don't come on anymore when the doors open, however the dome light still switches on when I move the switch to ON. Is it a fuse thats possibly gone, and if so, anyone know which one it is? There is too many in the Lex lol

Do the other interior lights still work if you switch them on, e.g. vanity mirror lights, map light ?

Yeah all lights work, even the dome light, its only when the doors open it doesn't come on automatically. Will check the fuse tomorrow after work in the daylight. Cheers guys

It's the 7.5amp Orange fuse in the passenger footwell, middle row second one down.........Just had to replace mine because I blew it doing something...............as Steve said it's marked "dome" on the fuse box cover......sorted.

Despite its name, I think the "Dome" fuse is only in the picture when the dome light switch is in the "Door" position, and isn't used when you turn the light "On". So I still suspect the Dome fuse.

actually i had my dome light fuse go steve and it stops all internal lights working totally. door lights, vanity lights etc.

He did say that the door lights had stopped working (at least that's my interpretation). I still think the dome light will manually switch on if you switch it to the "On" position even if the Dome fuse has gone, though of course I could be mistaken. But you're right that if the Dome fuse goes then the vanity lights wouldn't work.

So it seems a bit strange.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but are the LED strips newly-fitted ? i.e. the lights worked fine before but not now you've got the LEDs connected ? Just wondering if the LEDs are connected the wrong way round (they have a polarity which needs to be right or they won't come on, unlike regular bulbs).

  • 5 years later...

I have the same kind of problem with mine car. The interior light works when turned on manually but when on door setting it gets nothing. Also the ignition ring light, glove and dimmer switch don't work either. So I'm guess these are all connected and there is a brake somewhere... I've checked the door switches, traced wire as far as I could behind steering column and glove box. I tried testing the glove box light and ignition ring light but got no reading. Anyone have the diagram for this wiring or have any ideas what else I could check.
