Are you going to bring it to JAE ?

Yes! I'll be at the Club Aristo stand. I'll be there on the Saturday and Sunday.

I will also be at Modified Live (Brands Hatch) 28/6, TRAX 6/9, Japshow Finale 4/10 and Modified Live (Snetterton) 11/10. The car may well be at Ultimate Street Car, but I won't be there myself.

those wheels aren't really my taste.

needs SSR Professor SP1

OZ Scara by Junction Produce

Work Euroline

Fabulous Wheel

or something custom with heaps of dish

I don't mean to pull you up on this, but you do realise that the SSR Professor SP1, Work Meister and Garson DR302 (my wheel) and all the exact same wheel design apart from very small minor detailing? (i.e stepped lips, number of bolts between spokes, and extremity of dish).

The OZ Scara is "common" in the VIP scene and only has small dish.

I do like the Work Euroline but not only are they common in the VIP scene, but are quite common in the UK too! My wheels came up at a good price and are the only complete set in the country.

And which Fabulous wheel are you referring to? I suspect you are talking about the Profound model which is similar in design.

yeh they are quite similar :) your wheels are similar to the meisters where as the SSR professors have more of a flat face.

heres the fabulous wheel (kinda common I know :P)

but like I said before your car is "WOW" haha always considered the jzs161 to have a lot of potential

It looks fantastic, nice to see something totally different. Adore those wheels too, a little bit different to the usual Euroline's/Meister's/VSX's etc that are pretty common on the VIP scene.

I would have preffered to see the arches flared round, rather than the pulled (almost Escort Cosworth style) arrangement you've gone for, but if you like it fair play, its definately something different.

Really looking forward to seeing it finished. Have you got anythign special lined up for the interior? I'd love to see cream Snakeskin or something totally OTT like that.

Puddle lights installed and being tested. The wiring will be as such that the 5 below the drivers side door will turn on when the drivers side door is opened, and the rear 5 puddle lights will only turn on when the passenger doors open. As you can see, there are no concerns about the lights merging into one beam of light and losing the spot light effect. I will also have an override switch to keep them all on as well

Flush boot with lights installed. Check the out the red pearl!

I will now be premiering the car at Ultimate Street Car (yes, chavfest, but a busy show) on Saturday 1st August and at the Dorset Japanese Car Club show on Sunday 2nd August. Unfortunately, I won't actually be there, but Will will be showing the car for me, and I'm sure he will do a good job of it!

Will defo be lookin for this at JAE B)

The only thing is its giving me bad ideas about mega dishy big wheels now!lol

If you dont mind me askin how much were the custom arches?

The cost of the custom arches will vary depending on what you get done. What you will need to budget for is a respray of the doors and rear quarter panel as well. I would say budget about 100 - 150 hours of bodyshop work to get it done, but of course, what you can benefit from is you can get a mould made of the new arches and you can make money off that.

Read this thread through today amd while everything is not too my taste I take my hat off to the quality of the work.

Must have cost a packet if the arches alone took 150 hours at quality body shop rates of £50 + per hour thats a lot of wonga :crybaby:

Looks absolutely stunning. Love all of it bar the stretch on the rear tyres still. No matter how many times I look at them, they just spoil it for me. Sorry. :shutit:
