Advice: Tyres Or Suspension?

Hi All,

I have a GS300 Mk2, I have noticed that when I'm driving on the motorway, say at about 80mph and whenever I drove over a dip (hope you know what I mean), I get this Whoosh sound as the suspension compresses. Not sure whether anyone have experienced that. Is it because the suspension need replacing or is it normal being too soft? Or is it tyre noise?

It sounds also as though as air travels through the front grill?

Hope someone could advise.

Thanks,

Jon

if your suspension is making wooshing noises under heavy compression, sounds to me like the imminent death of your shocks. one way of telling what condition they're in is to press down hard and fast on whichever corner is wooshing, if the car comes back up to normal position and stays there it's alright, if it wallows up and down afterwards like a water bed it's knackered.
