Grom... Probably Me Being Stupid But...

Recommended Posts

Hi there I am considering connecting my ipod to my standard Lexus Head unit ('51 plate), I just want read a really simple step by step guide of how to do itbefore I take the plunge. Now I know there are lots of guides on here somewhere but I have just spent the last hour looking for a good installation guide and I really can't find one.

Can any one point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Mark

for the guys out there done this:

is it necessary to remove the The Sat nav and vents console at all, if you can reach the back of the head unit from the bottom?

thanks

Nope, if you can reach the back then no need to take anything out at all except the heated seat switch tray. But you need to put the grom unit somewhere don't you?

It fits very snugly to the side of the stereo (left or right - I have the grom on the left and phone kit box of tricks on the right)

To avoid rattles I used double sided foam tape to stick the boxes to the sides of the console and stuck felt to the front face so it can't rattle against the side of the stereo.
