The code is set by the user at the point of enabling the security code, so there is no way of getting it unless they used the last 4 of the chasis number or something. Failing that, it is paying someone to reset it. I'm not aware of any DIY reset.

I recently had the same issue with my GS300 Mk1. Most local "specialists" said it could not be done unless I took it to a Lexus dealer. Then I found an expert about 15 miles away.

I had to remove stereo (not a big or difficult job), took it to a local specialist who partially stripped unit, plugged it into his system and swithed off security code function and provided me with the active code for future reference. Very friendly and helpful guy, and he was extremely cheap!!!!!
