Supercharging Question

Recommended Posts

Been thinking about this and going to start and put together a system myself but have come to the stange were need bit of advice. A eaton m45 super charger for a 2l engine rated for 2 to 3 liter with .75 of displacement but have been reading that the m62 is the one to go for but the displace ment is only .35 more and rated for 2.5 to 4l engines. so the question is it worth forking out another 200 quid for the m62? http://www.eaton.com/EatonCom/ProductsServices/PerformanceProducts/Products/Superchargers/M45/index.htm

The M45 is the same as the one they put on the Cooper "S" and as far as i remember used to be advertised as 1l to 2l engines, therefore on the limit with the 1GFE.

Personally people know the M62 works and i'd recommend using one but hey we never move forward playing it safe.
