Lexus Gs 300Se: Vsc, Abs

Evening all

I've just started the car this evening and the 'ABS' 'VSC' 'VSC OFF' lights are on. I press the VSC OFF button but the lights don't go out. Is it the dreaded brake master cylinder or just a sensor?? There is no buzzing sound, I just hear a strange sound under the bonnet and the brakes squeak a bit, the car had an MOT 2 weeks and passed though. Does any anybody know what the issue may be?

Thanks for the advise, the issue sounds expensive. The car sold for the full asking price, with the ABS & VSC light on, looks like the new owner knew as much I did.
