Is220D Front And Rear Tyre Size

Hi guys, I am a new Lexus owner. Just bought my 2006 220d about 7weeks ago. It's the first time I check the size of my tyre this morning. Strangely enough, I found out all my tyre size are 225/45 R17, since I read the driver handbook and thread on forum said it should have a narrower front tyre. I.e. 205/45 R17.

So my question is : Am I wrong to think that a 225mm tyre cannot be put on a 205mm alloy?? If so, does it indicated that my front alloy are not the original wheel??

standard is 205/55/16 all 4.

then 225/45/17 fronts, and 245/45/17 rears - while discs are the same, therefore fronts are visibly a bit stretched.

then there are also 18" but I don't remember - I just know that rears are 255

Yeah , mine are just the same 225x45x17 front and 245x45x17 rear , last pair I bought ( one of each ) was £256 .
