eventually didnt buy

it was a black 07 is220d sport with 78k mls, did some research this morning, it had been advertised with a full lexus history but when i rang the dealer it was only serviced up till 45k mls, so in light of the fact it had no previous engine work carried out i figured it was due an engine rebuild which i would have to cover because of the lack of history so sadly i had to leave it behind me

why would you need an engine rebuild?

you are right to be cautious of the service history, but i don't think the diesel is like a rotary engine, it shouldn't need a rebuild.

But anyway i would stay clear of a car with no service history as well.

Keep looking though mate.. Lexus make bloody good cars!
