When you jumpstarted it did you leave her Battery connected to yours for 5 mins after yours started?

If you call out your breakdown/recovery provider then I am sure they will get to the root of the problem. Does everything else work ok.....lights,radio,etc. ?

I'd guess its related to the Battery condition. Either the Battery isn't keeping any charge or the alternator isn't charging it. If it starts on jump then the car is running okay but if the car isn't taking the charge, it will sink and die. Might be worth taking the Battery out and check it. Either that or get someone to check the state of the alternator.

I'm sure someone much more knowledgeable will be more help.

Welcome to the club though.

First check is the alarm/security light flashing all the time even when you have inserted the ignition key?

If it is the security system needs reseting by inserting the ignition key turning it to the ignition position then leaving it like that for around 10 minutes.

Make sure your Battery is fully charged before doing so or you will be back at position A!

The security stuff must be ok as it would turnover but refuse to start if the immobiliser was triggered. I would be inclined to argree with cullers and that it would tend to suggest the Battery is not charging properly. Either the Battery is goosed or the alternator? Any warning lights staying on once started?

the security light goes out ,loads of fuel ,the battrey is a new one, chucked the other one. just cant understand that i have no throttle .i sent a feed to the fuel pump under the rear seat and the car ran as if notting was wrong, but still no throttle .i know is cable and electronic is there a rest for the pedal like the newer cars .the 120amp fuse blew when it was jumped replaced that every thing works ,but pasanger doors dont on the central locking ,no warning lights nothing ,should have stuck with my is200 i think .

I reckon the best bet money wise is to see if someone you know has AA recovery and get them to call the AA saying they are with you as (if I remember rightly), AA covers the person and not the car including passenger.

I think there is some relevance to the Battery going flat in the first case when it was unexpected. Something caused that. Just wondering whether it is the alternator as once the car is started, then the power for everything should be coming from the alternator (I think!).
