Hi all

I have just noticed a squeal from the front end of car when turning sharply or quickly in either direction that sounds a bit like tyre rubbing the wheels are standard 17 inch on a gs430 I have checked for signs of rubbing but can find nothing and the noise is only there for a short period when u first initiate the turn no noises at low speed manoeuvres am baffled .........

Cheers terry

Check for brake binding, if this model has the usual caliper pins check for seizure, also check the wheel bearings for play and/or roughness.

Just checked and yours does have caliper pins on the front brakes so check these first and regrease them the shims and the pad contact points onto the caliper.

Have just checked the offset of my wheels and it's +50 , seems a bit too far in to me, which may explain the very small gap between the inside of the tyre and some of the suspension parts

Update ..... Wasn't the front at all, it was the rear rotors, where they have a groove for the shield to run in they had so much rust and crud in there it couldn't help but rub, cleaned it all out and skimmed a mil or two off the ridge on the back plate ESP at the bottom ....... Noises all gone now .... Peace reins once again
