Intermittent Vsc Message

Hi - Just joined today..

Bought an immaculate GS300 SE late Dec 2005 - 2006 model - two weeks ago from local garage.

VSC light comes on virtually every other trip.

Took it to Lexus Dealer today and they say it needs 2 oxygen sensors and a new Computer E89666-30373 - Cost £2900!!

Any help appreciated as I can't afford that.

Take it back to where you bought it and get your money back.

They sold you a car with a £2900 fault!

If Lexus say it needs a new ECU then it's kaput mate!

^^^^ as above, take it back. Surely they gave you some sort of warranty if it was from a garage.

Providing this defect wasn't pointed out to you at the time of sale you are covered under the SOGA as the vehicle is not fit for purpose.

Given the short period you have had it I would return it and request a full refund although the dealer may offer a repair.

Was the problem present on the test drive?
