Seized Calliper Again!

  • 1 year later...

My front drivers side caliper had seized quite badly, ruined the disc and worn the pads right down to bare minimum on that side, replaced the caliper and new discs and pads last weekend only to discover that the other side has also seized but not as bad yet.I picked up another caliper today and will fit it this weekend so hopefully that will be an end to it.

I think my car has been standing for a few months through the winter months,I have only recently purchased the car,now I'm starting to use it,I think the heat has now got into the brakes and the calipers started to seize up.

Thanks.Lee.

I'm replacing the 2 front calipers and discs+pads only have the car a month "2nd is200" ;) but the car had been lying up for a year and a half , was only getting about 15mpg was the giveaway seems to be a common problem with all the whole range of lexus having brake sticking issues good luck with the fix Lee
