Gs 300 2008 Transmission

Hello all and thanks for an excellent forum.

I have recently purchased a gs 300 2008 face lift model with 100000 miles. The problems I am having is when driven slowly at low speeds the car feels labored and jumps and jolts intermittently between first and second gear. The car changes gear as it should after second. Also under acceleration from a standing start it drives perfectly fine no jolts at all. Help please this problem is only there when driven easy. Any body ever seen this before and if so what was the solution if any.

have never heard oif this before. does it do it when its cold or all the time?

Hi Steve thanks for the reply. The problem is there all the time regardless of hot or cold. As stated it only happens between 1st and 2nd at low speed. Lexus seem to think this is normal. It couldnt be.

That's not normal.....One thing Lexus are good at are ultra smooth Auto Boxes.

Sounds very odd. All Lexus boxes are really smooth

It does sound odd I'm just very dissatisfied and feel hard done by. I think I bought a junk box that will now need a new transmission.
