Air Suspension

Hi,

A previous thread stated that no RX400's ever had air suspension - however, WhatCar says that SE-L trim does have air suspension.

So if I'm looking at an RX400h SE-L, does that have air suspension (2007 model)?

BTW, I assume air suspension means 'self-levelling suspension'?

I am open to correction but I would suggest Whatcar is wrong - My RX300 SEL had air suspension and the answer was "not available" when I ordered my RX400.

I would suggest asking the vendor what it has - that will answer the question beyond any doubt.

the 400h was not available with air suspension in any trim level. Possibly due to the extra weight of the hybrid batteries or space issues. The non-hybrid SE-L had air suspension

the air-suspension allows the ride height to be altered (automatically). It provides a better ride at high speed but many people feel the ride suffers around town. Whilst not unreliable it is a weakness of the RX and an expensive thing to go wrong.

Space for the compressor was the reason given to me.
