You may remember a while ago my Integration relay failed after fitting some cheap Chinese LEDs to replace my ignition key and footwell light bulbs.

This device controls the operation of the door lock illumination, footwell lights, ignition key illumination and the dome light coming on when the door is opened.

Since then I have been searching for a replacement but everytime I find a suitable donor vehicle the owner either seems to have already sold it or doesn't want to remove it.

Also having done research into the problem the word resistor was mentioned several times although no specific circuit reference was given.

It is a pig of a job to remove the relay as it is fitted to the rear of the interior fusebox under the driver's side dash but today with a break in the weather I finally got around to removing it.

The failed resistor mentioned was immediately obvious once the casing was removed ( on the far right of the board) and I established the value and wattage ratings ( 1 Ohm 2 Watt ).

After fitting a replacement I then reassembled the unit and refitted it to the car and hey presto the lights all work again.

The parts cost was 20p compared with £300.00 for a new one from Lexus!

Nice chunky PCB's from the days when humans could work on them. Well done Mike.
