Parking Assist Sensors (Front And Rear)

I was looking at the spec for the Advance model on the web site to-night, and noticed that it said parking asst sensors front and rear are standard on the car.

I pick my new Advance up 6 weeks ago and it does not have parking asst sensors on it , can anyone enlighten me

In the brochure I have it says they are 'complementary' which might indicate they were some special offer addition, so possibly yours is an early model - certainly the ones I looked at in the showrooms had them fitted. Looking at ones forsale on Autotrader, quite a few 62 plate ones seem to be without them.

It appears to me that the specifications of the entire CT range is constantly variable. There seems to be quite a range of off the shelf extras such as electrically heated seats, heated mirrors, folding mirrors, parking aids, driving aids, trims lights, etc. I drew the conclusion that they just fit the car which whatever is in the parts bins during their assembly. The brochures just seem to be an approximation as to what you might expect to be delivered. Perhaps I did well to buy an ex demo since I could actually see what I was getting or so I thought. When I viewed my car at the dealers it had GB euro style number plates. My wife pointed out some months later that the car no longer has those number plates... I simply hadn't noticed. I referred back to the pictures I snapped of it at the dealers and sure enough she was right.... the specification of my ex demo changed a little from what I thought I was buying.

Have you tried Lexus on line - they were very helpful (couldn't get answers out of the supplying dealer as they couldn't / wouldn't respond to questions) and tried to resolve my queries quickly.

I got mine 3 weeks ago, on a 13 plate, with front/rear sensors....Note - the fronts are front corners only, and do NOT cover directly in front of the car.

Not sure why I need rears, as it also has a camera, with a nice red line to show me when to stop........
