Front Hub Insurance Question

Recommended Posts

my lexus is300 had a repair back in the winter when the previous owner smacked a kerb and bent the wheel and suspension. i noticed the front hub arm has writing on it in pen. would this be normal for a new part.

theres an engineer from the insurance company coming to check and make sure the repairer did fit a new part.

heres a pic

I have heard that insurance companies are using some secondhand parts for repairs to cut down on costs.

Must admit does look like a typical scrapyard method of marking parts.
