Pcs Warning Light

Hi all

This light comes on yesterday....and on the dash it say check PCS systems.....(pre collision systems)

Anyone knows what caused it? The only thing I have done is take the car for a hand car valet yesterday. Only after a few hours after the valet, this light comes on. Could be coincidence ...

Hi Simon, my 2006 450h SE L has done exactly this 3 times, "cruise not available" & "check PCS system" each time it has rectified itself within a day or so. I just continued driving as was not near a Lexus centre to get it checked out. Now not seen it for about 30,000 miles so thought no more about it.

Will be interesting to see if your does the same.

Probably the valet has left a film of wax on the sensor? I had the warning on once in a snow storm and realised it was due to the sensor being covered by film of snow. Hope it is something simple like that.

No, sorry if this were the case it will say "clean sonar"

The warning first appeared last night and it still showing up today. This warning comes on usual around 2-5 mins after I started the car.

Where is the sensor? Is it behind the lexus logo in the grill bar?

Ah different symptons to mine , once came on as soon as started and twice during a journey. Yes the grille badge is the sensor.

I have decided to part exchange the car...

I went to a few places for the last 2 days, they offered me between 4500 to 5500 even with 2 of the warning lights flashing....

Thats a shame it isnt sorted. I thought it might have been just wet from the valet or something simple. Out of interest what kind of mileage is on it and what you going to trade it in for ? cheers Kev

it has 89,000 miles.... i traded in for a Civic Type R... totally different type of car but I always wanted one!!! :-)

Isn't it usually the Lamba sensor (o2) - happen occasionally, not when I use 98 Octane tho
